Creating art is something Dylan Perlot lives for! “I feel like I was born with a camera in my hand” he recalls. “Like I clearly remember photographing my friends as early as middle school. I’ve always needed a way to express myself”, he continued. “Seeing fashion magazines like Vogue on the newsstands or stunning print ads in clothing stores was mesmerizing for 10 year old Dylan”! -Following his passion, Dylan left his hometown in France to pursue his dream abroad at film school in the US! His ability to combine art & fashion became his unique, one of a kind way of telling stories, instantly engaging, visually stunning stories! Even as a youngster, Perlot found that if you paid close enough attention, through fashion there was always an available story to tell! With his pointed perspective in tow, he quickly began garnering opportunities to shoot with leading brands like Nasty Gal, Lever Couture, Skies Are Blue, Megan Renee, Grover Rad & Diesel. Capturing women’s clothing vs men’s clothing can require extreme versatility, but as a true creative, Perlot has always been able to demonstrate the ability to adapt himself to the subject & products in front of his lens!
Today we find Perlot partnering with & incorporating some of the biggest designers on the planet to craft his narratives. From Dior, Ferragamo, Marc Jacobs, to Amiri & Versace, Perlot’s ability to creative direct aesthetic vision to totality continues to earn his work features in global publications like Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Glamour, as well Grazia, The Perfect Man (& of course 26 :) just to name a few. We also couldn’t help but notice the exceptional celebrity subjects that keep finding their way in front of Perlot’s eye. Over the years he’s been racking up quite a star studded portfolio, featuring the likes of actors like Rome Flynn (The Bold & the Beautiful, How to Get Away with Murder). In 2020, Perlot photographed popular Swedish music group Galantis & most recently his works with Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy & actor/comedian Joel Kim Booster have found huge reach to their worldwide audiences.
FROM PERLOT'S AWARD WINNING PHOTO SERIES “THE LAST LOVE” (2023)
Like many other art forms, fashion photography is meant to convey something. Recently, Perlot produced “The Last Love”, a poetic-photo series he created, that excitedly won him 3 awards for his work at DigiFest (USA), Paris Play (France) & the Hollywood Independent Film Festival (USA). The series beautifully brought us back to simpler summer days where love was the only universal language.
Truly incredible feats for a young boy from a small town in east France wouldn’t you say? At just 28, Perlot has mastered the art of telling visual stories in such an impressive way that his many international achievements continue to be undeniable proof of that. As he continues his odyssey of meaningful work & creativity from his Los Angeles base, we’re excited to continue witnessing the dynamic dynamism of Dylan Perlot!
